What lands differently
Illustrated throughout
Drawn by Angela's daughter, Ali — so the markers and voices feel like characters, not concepts.
Four voices, named
UNGA, LOLA, TATA, and AKO give the chatter in your head faces you can actually work with.
Seven markers to practice
Skill stops on a heptagon path — move through them, then graduate to a pentagon.
Built to practice
Word searches, day-to-day scenarios, and free website resources — not a read-and-shelve book.
How the book works
You move through the seven points of the heptagon, gaining knowledge and skills at each marker. When you can work through the heptagon skillfully, you graduate to the advanced level — and replace the heptagon with a pentagon. Seven points to five. That's the name: 7 to 5.

Meet the author
Author of 7 to 5 · Educator · Fellow messy human
Originally from Colombia and living in the U.S. since 1991, Angela is fluent in English and Spanish. She holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work — and she writes like she’s sitting on the couch with you, making complex ideas feel easy, honest, and a little fun.
Years of working with people from every kind of background taught her something simple: most of us want the same thing — a better human experience. That noticing became ATICA, and ATICA became the 7 to 5 book — awareness, choice, and intentional action, with humor instead of lectures.
Her style is direct and gentle. She draws on clinical training, life experience, and a belief that imperfect humans can still move forward — always as education, not therapy or counseling.
The voices in your head
In 7 to 5, Angela gives the chatter in your head names and faces — so you can catch which voice is talking before you believe it. Three Double Agents show up at Marker 3 and pour fuel on Emotional Grenades; AKO arrives at Marker 5 as the Super Power that helps keep them in check. Tap a voice for the full picture.

Book objectives
A few of the aims woven through the book:
Gain self-awareness — and stop blaming Mercury in retrograde when things go wrong.
Face your fears instead of avoiding them.
Learn why you think and act the way you do… and hopefully have things make sense.
Find better ways to cope with emotions — it might be time to break up with Ben & Jerry.
Gain inner freedom from the excuse that “I'm just toxic & dramatic.”
Understand and embrace your inner voices so they work with you, not against you.
Prioritize self-care so you can create real changes in your life.
Set practical, realistic goals — no, winning the lottery does not count.
Cry less… way less. Enjoy life more… way more.
Stop taking yourself so seriously… like, for real.
